Kukës Airport to start flights in 2021

By Team Albanians - May 12, 2020

Next year, the first plane will land at the low-cost airport in Kukës. The news was given by Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, during the inspection of the construction works, accompanied by Minister Belinda Balluku and Mayor Safet Gjici.

"The airport brings with it a lot of traffic, a lot of need for services not only for transport but also for hotels and other services. So for this, we will work together with the municipality and we will create a general master plan that will give a big boom not only to all of Kukës but also the surrounding area", said Rama.

The Prime Minister stressed that "even for mountain tourism, this airport has great potential. Due to the access, it will be a great development," said Rama.
