Legendary TV host of Albanian descent, Regis Philbin, dies at 88

The most famous Albanian TV host Regis Philbin has died at age 88. He holds the Guiness World Record for the most hours on US television: 16,746.50. 

Regis Philbin has often spoken about his Albanian roots. Listen to him talk about his Arbereshe-Albanian family on US national television with Eliza Dushku and Kara DioGuardi. 

He was born on August 25, 1931 in The Bronx, New York City to Francis Philbin and Filomena Boscia. His father, Francis "Frank" Philbin, was a U.S. Marine who served in the Pacific. His mother, Filomena "Florence" (née Boscia), was an Arbëreshë-Albanian from Greci, Campania. They lived in the Bronx..
